Overview
The Greensville/Emporia Social Services is a five-member District Board, consisting of three county representatives and two city representatives. This Board has the responsibilities of administering the Social Services Programs as set forth in the Code of Virginia, subject to the rules and regulations of the State Board of Social Services.
The Social Services Board is responsible for the administration of these programs and is responsible for submitting an annual budget to the local governing bodies and the Commissioner of Social Services for the State of Virginia.
